Office Fit-out and design consultancy hi design complete a successful office fit-out project for Mercian Surgical
When the Birmingham-based office fit-out and design experts at hi design started work on a project for Mercian Surgical they knew they would have to pull out all the stops to exceed expectations. The brief was to transform Mercian's new offices from forgettable desk space to fantastic and functional with the help of forward-thinking office design.
Coming up with concept for the colour scheme was a key point in the process and the clients put their trust in the hi design office fit-out experts to bring in vibrant pink and large scale graphics to shape the new office space. As suppliers of surgical instruments for hospitals across the UK, Mercian wanted a clean, modern office design that suited their business ethos for their office move to Bromsgrove in Birmingham. Their office move coincided with a switch to a more central location to place Mercian at the heart of their client base and they wanted their offices to reflect this key transition and offer a dynamic space that would welcome clients and staff alike.
Director of hi design, Susan Whittle explained the process from A to B: “To create the wow factor on a tight budget we teamed simple furnishing with large scale graphic walls. Our in-house photographer and graphic designer photographed Mercian’s surgical products in random patterns to create the effective mural walls. By also using the brand’s vivid pink we created an office design that is visually stunning yet practical and most importantly within budget.”
