As the big office move day draws ever closer, you’ll want to make sure you have fully organised your office removals and that everything has been ticked off your Office Removals Checklist so there are no last minute panics. 

Your Office Removals team will run through the final preparations of what office furniture is being moved and where each item is being located in the new office; having a clear office space plan will help to avoid any chaos at the new office and will help to ensure your office move is delivered on time. 

Arrange for everyone’s desk items and personal belongings to be packed up prior to the move day.  Staff can do this themselves – so they can take full responsibility for how their items are packed.  Your Office Removals firm can provide crates, wrapping and colour-coded labels to make sure all items are secure.  Leave any PCs, printers and phones – as these will be handled by a specialist IT & Telecoms Company.

You will need to arrange access for your Office Removals firm to the new office. This can be done through security or the office management company.  They will need access to the goods lift and any side entrances so they do not get in the way of other office tenants. 

Ensure that your staff have security entrance cards to use for the first day in the new office.  Manage their expectations beforehand about what work will actually be done on the first day – there may well be a lot of disruption, and they’ll need to contribute in some way to help settle your business in to the new office.  If your office move has been well organised from the outset and you have a good Office Removals team on board, there’s no reason why your office move shouldn’t go like clockwork – with everything in it’s right place and working as it should, and your business can resume quickly back to normal.
