The relocation of Queen Elizabeth Hospital is a massive logistical exercise that will rely on collaborative teamwork and meticulous business relocation planning. The first phase of this hospital relocation has now been completed and was carried out with clockwork precision and ran to a relocation timetable set by the hospital. It involved the removal of 6000 crates in 440 vehicle loads, working overnight and weekends over a three-day period.
The business relocation plan was divided into half-hour managed segments to ensure that the movement of hospital equipment and medicines, medical engineering, cleaning and hygiene control are all synchronised with patient care.
