Creating an Office Move Timeline

 

Getting Started

Before you being to write your Office Move Timeline be sure you understand the key dates that are going to drive your office move: Do you know your moving out date? (this will govern your moving in date), when do you need to give your notice? Once you are sure of these dates you are ready to begin putting together your Office Move Timeline.

The next step is to download the Office Move Timeline and save it to your PC - you're going to be using this document as a working template, and it is likely to change and evolve as your office move progresses. 

Writing your Office Move Timeline

Insert the date you have to be in your new office by on the Office Move Timeline document and you'll find that the template will have done most of the work for you! Dates will automatically appear next to each deadline and task.
As every office move is different, you may find you have to insert additional tasks that are unique to your situation.  Similarly, you'll find that you may need longer for certain stages of your office move; for example, office lease negotiations or agreeing the terms with your landlord - so you can manually alter these dates accordingly. 

Keeping it up-to-date

Keeping on top of your Office Move Timeline is essential if you are to ensure that everything happens in the right order and on time.  Remember that you will need to communicate your Timeline with your appointed Office Relocation Professionals, in particular your Office Removals Company who will need to co-ordinate the packing and unpacking around your proposed deadlines.
