Office Space Market in the Thames Valley
Thames Valley Office Market experiences a strong start to 2011, but there’s still a shortage of office space to satisfy larger businesses looking to move office to the Thames Valley.
Supply of Office Space in the Thames Valley has fallen below 7m. sq. ft. for the first time in 2 years, according to the Q1 Thames Valley Market Office Report.
Office rentals exceeded the five year average for only the second time in 2 years, while forecasted office take-up for the year is 1.5m sq. ft. slightly below the five year average of 1.6m sq. ft.
There are a number of office space requirements circulating in the Thames Valley of companies needing to move office, but these are unlikely to be satisfied in the next 6-9 months due to the shortage of office space available.
The investment office market has been boosted by the sale of Chiswick Park and a number of landmark deals are poised to close in the South East this year.
