The forgettables: An office management checklist
Plan the management of your office move with this helpful checklist
It can be easy to forget the simple things when you’re juggling your office move, but something as basic as drawing up a checklist can help you to stay in control of the tasks that we like to call “the forgettables”! When you move into your new office you’ll want to hit the ground running and get your business back up to boiling point again. Ticking off the smaller things on your Office Move To Do List will not only give you satisfaction but will help you to feel settled quicker.
Here are some of the most common forgettables in office management during an office relocation:
Cleaning staff and cleaning supplies – if you are moving close to your old offices, you may wish to notify your current cleaning company.
Flowers – it is definitely one of the more frilly items in an office move, but non-essentials such as fresh flowers can really make a great impression on your clients and staff alike.
Sanitary disposal – Be sure to take care of any hygiene and washroom services you may need.
Temperature – Check the temperature and air quality of your office on moving in. Establishing a comfortable working environment is very important and is so easily forgotten.
Vending machines – Having a vending machine installed soon after moving in will help give staff extra amenities, particularly if you are moving to an out-of-town area and are unsure of local amenities.
Kitchen utensils – mugs, teaspoons and some basic cleaning products including tea towels are essential to any office kitchen.
