Before the office removals professionals arrive to load your office furniture into their van, is there any preparation you can do to make your furniture move easier?  Of course! Preparation is the key to a successful office move and getting your furniture sorted before the office removals arrive will help your plans along.

Here are the five top tips for getting your pre-removals prep sorted:

  1. Before you move make an inventory of everything in your office that you will be taking with you. This will not only provide you with a office removals checklist when you get to the other end, but it will help you to begin the chucking out process of any furniture that is past its best.
  2.  Make a list of any disassembling that needs to happen in order to move your furniture from one place to another.  Root out any instruction manuals for your furniture – this will make it even easier.
  3. Single out any pieces of highly fragile furniture such as glass-topped tables that need extra packaging and care when moving.
  4.  If you have any small parts to transport you will need to get clear plastic bags with indelible marker identification on the front to keep any easily lost bits close to their corresponding furniture.
  5.  Here’s one piece of good news – don’t bother cleaning any office furniture prior to the move. This should be done after the move when you’re settling into your new place.
