The countdown to your office move
As the big moving day gets closer there's still some last minute jobs to see you through to a successful office move.
As your big moving office day draws ever closer, you will undoubtedly feel as though you have an insurmountable heap of tasks to get through. But don’t worry, we have drawn up an office move countdown checklist that will help you to stay on top of the last minute jobs and keep your office relocation in order.
These include: -
- Taking a full inventory of your current office contents, furniture etc to make sure nothing gets lost or missed in the relocation.
- Ensure all your marketing material (including the website) is up to date with your new contact details and new office address.
- Order new stationery and business cards with your new details on.
- Notify the Post Office of your office relocation and set up a Royal Mail Re-direction service to your new office.
- Write to, and email, all clients, suppliers and stakeholders informing them of your new address.
- Distribute keys to all staff members, cleaners etc. and inform people of alarm procedures.
- Write a schedule for the moving day itself and distribute to all staff members so they know where they need to be, and when. This will help co-ordinate your office removals project and help everything go smoothly.
