In the run up to your office move day, there are last minute tasks that need to be checked off to ensure your office move goes like clockwork. They include:
Health & Safety
Accidents can happen when moving office, particularly amongst all the chaos and stress. Make sure someone in your organisation is responsible for health and safety and check with your Office Removals Company about their health and safety policy.
Ensure that all power and services are up and running in your new office as power is essential in the set up and testing of your IT equipment and telephones.
Vacating your Existing Premises
Have you arranged the final clean of your current office? Have all dilapidations been carried out in accordance with your tenant lease obligations?
If you lease your photocopier, talk to your office supplier about relocating this piece of equipment. It may be that the leasing company has to move it for you.
Do all staff know where they need to be (and when) on the first morning in your new office? Have they been given maps and new entrance cards to the new office?

Business Phone Installation
The installation of your telephones is critical to your business being able to operate, ask an IT & Telecoms Company to check the cabling in the new office and verify its suitability with your new floor plan. Are phone lines where they need to be? Do you have enough phone lines?
Emergency Contact List
Print off a contact list (and have it with you!) for the move day. It should detail all IT technicians, telecoms provider, commercial property agent etc so you can easily get hold of anyone important should there be a problem.
