The Somerset Guardian is Moving Offices
The Somerset Guardian is leaving its current offices on the High Street in Midsomer Norton and moving office to new premises.
The Guardian team are moving to Somer Valley Enterprise Park which is opposite Tesco at Old Mills between Midsomer Norton and Paulton. The office move is scheduled to take place on Monday 16 June 2014.
Lynne Fernquest, the Somerset Guardian Editor comments: “The offices were selected because it is essential for us to stay in the heart of the community in a location that gives us easy access to Midsomer Norton, Radstock, Paulton, Peasedown St John and the many villages we serve. This exciting move enables us to invest in state-of-the-art technology and allows staff to continue to produce a fantastic newspaper and a brilliant website. Alongside the thousands of people who read our print edition we now have thousands of people reading breaking news stories every day on our website and we are looking forward to an exciting future.”
The Somerset Guardian has a proud 120 year history in providing the community with a quality newspaper but one of the key reasons behind the office move is the changing way consumers now access news. They will continue with their Print Edition but more and more people are reading the news online. This is borne out by the massive surge in visitors to their website as consumer's appetite for 24/7 news accelerates. This office move will allow them to operate from premises that are better suited to providing the quality of service that their readers expect.
The office move promises to be an exciting new chapter in the Somerset Guardian's proud history and they remain committed to providing the local community with a quality news service. The Somerset Guardian have made a point of commenting that the public will still be very welcome to visit the new office and have face time with both the advertising and reporting staff.
The Somerset Guardian is joining approximately 30 other companies at Somer Valley Enterprise Park. This office move is further evidence that the park is a natural home for hi-tech businesses.
